Depart from evil and do good. Psalm 34:14

                               Happy Birthday Chip- September 29

Dear Parents,

Our class brought $15.47 in missions last week. Our class was very excited to take their offering to Chapel.

This week we are learning the short vowel “a” says, a a apple.

We'll be doing apple activities all week and learning about John Chapman, known as “Johnny Appleseed”. Please
send Two Apples on Wednesday for apple tasting and graphing. We'll finish the week with Johnny Appleseed Day
on Friday. We'll all dress up like Johnny Appleseed and present a short mini skit at Chapel and then bake an
“apple crisp”.

Ideas for dress up are- Denim shorts or pants. Overalls, red or plaid shirts. Straw hats, a pot on the head,
bandana around the neck etc. Chapel is at 8:30am until 9am. at Grace Church. (parents are welcome to come.)

We're beginning to gather items for our Kenya Study. We're needing pony beads (various colors) and acrylic
paints, earth tones. If you would like to contribute with a five or ten dollar gift card to Walmart it will be greatly
appreciated or if you have any of these items at home, then that will be great too.
